The duration-30minutes to me is also appropriate when speaking as a producer or director, or a person somewhere in that area. This is because I believe it will give viewers reason to tune in to the next episode-they say too much of anything is bad, also, the short time allows for long term running of the production which equals to more advertisements of sponsors and consequently more money for the show. However as an ordinary viewer, I find the 30minutes too short for me to get the real taste of the story, just when I'm beginning to enjoy the story is when they decide to cut living me in utter suspense. Then the next Sunday I find myself skipping all other plans to catch Mother-in law at 7:30pm. If the producers' intention is like mine above, it has worked on.
